Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented UAS Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and repair of UAVs, ensuring they operate at peak performance. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and a passion for UAS technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, test, and calibrate UAS and related components.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on UAS to ensure optimal functionality.
- Diagnosing and troubleshoot technical issues with UAS systems.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve UAS performance, reliability, and customer interface.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in UAS technology and industry standards.
- Travel to customer sites for upgrades, repairs, training and support and/or Marketing/Sales Events, up to 20% of the time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in engineering, robotics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a UAS technician or similar role.
- Strong understanding of UAS systems, electronics, and mechanical components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to document technical information clearly.
- Must have an American citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with various types of UAS (e.g., quadcopters, fixed-wing).
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and ANSI standards for UAS operations.
- Certification from a recognized UAS training program.
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our shop, as well as assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and components used in our UAS technology. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team in a dynamic environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the shop, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are well-maintained and available when needed.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Train and supervise shop staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in the installation of UAS parts, following assembly procedures and participating in the manufacturing process.
- Use manufacturing tools such as drills, milling machines, lathe machines, and other tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
- Prepare necessary order lists for raw materials, screws, nuts, hand tools, etc.
- Maintain shop orders and logbooks, detailing the nature of assignments, parts utilized, time expended, and type of work performed. Collect data for reports as directed.
- Participate in the research and development of test fixtures and equipment.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of various mechanical systems.
- Experience in managing a workshop or similar environment.
- Ability to interpret schematic diagrams of mechanical drawings.
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Email).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Must be an American citizen.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of UAS and UAV systems.
- Experience with 3D printing.
- CNC router experience.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in mechanical systems.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics/Electrical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various electronic components and systems used in our UAS technology. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install aircraft avionics, power systems, test .instrumentation, and other electronic equipment.
- Repair and maintain a variety of electronic equipment such as flight controllers, sensors, test instrumentation, and other systems used in research, diagnostics, and communications.
- Cable harnessing for UAS and ground stations.
- Perform soldering and electronics card assembly.
- Maintain shop orders and logbooks, detailing the nature of assignments, parts utilized, time expended, and type of work performed. Collect data for reports as directed.
- Participate in the research and development of test fixtures and equipment.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of various electronic components.
- Proficiency in operating equipment such as soldering irons, ohm meters, and oscilloscopes, with the ability to learn other required tools for testing and repair.
- Ability to interpret schematic diagrams of electrical and electronic circuits.
- Good soldering skills.
- Computer literate (MS Office, Email).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in electronics.
- Must be an American Citizen.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience soldering surface mount ICs, resistors, and capacitors.
- Ability to perform circuit board testing.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing circuit boards.
- Knowledge of UAV systems and components.
